I Need a Hero [OPEN]

Sassy lay in her nest in the nursery, shivering because of the cold, and panting because of her kits. She bent down to take a bite of her prey, and gritted her teeth in pain. A sharp, ripping feeling was in her stomach and she yowled out in pain. "Darkstorm! Nightsplotch!" she hissed/screamed. "Help me! The kits are arriving!"

Nightsplotch, hearing the queen's yells, raced over to the rescue. "Don't worry!" He had come prepared with sticks and Borage Leaves. "Don't worry, It'll be okay," He promised. He gave her a stick. "Bite down on that," He said as he focused on getting the kits.

She nodded, letting out a screech before clamping down on the stick. "But what about Darkstorm?" she muttered to herself, focusing on trying to deliver the kits and not cry out too loud.

Darkstorm ran into the nursery. "I came...as soon as I...as I could," he panted between breaths. He was hunting when he had heard the queen's screams. "Sorry I'm late." He sat down behind Sassy and licked her forehead. "It's going to be fine." He curled his tail around her's.

Nightsplotch got the kits out, one by one. "Finished," he purred. He pushed forward the Borage Leaves. "Eat this, it will help the milk," he said. He started to lick clean the kits.

Sassy smiled at Darkstorm, and nodded at Nightsplotch. Panting, she replied to him. "Thanks..." she mewed, lapping up the borage.

Nightsplotch nodded. "Your welcome." He didn't know if there was a thing going on between Sassy and Darkstorm or not, so he decided to let them be. "I'll be in my den if you need anything...Darkstorm, watch over Sassy and the kits incase she needs anything." Darkstorm nodded as Nightsplotch left.

"Have you thought of names for them yet?" Darkstorm asked Sassy as he looked at the kits.

She looked at them carefully. There was a black tom that stood out a lot against the others because it was smaller, more active, and the others were lighter in pelt. "I think that one," she mewed, gesturing toward the black tom. "should be named Shiningkit.... you know, since he stands out a lot... You and I can take turns naming them, if you want..."

Darkstorm nodded. "Thats a good name...what about that one is named Quietkit...because she seems quieter and less active then the others?" He asked

OOC: Sorry. Quietkit and Pollenkit will be Raven and Split's kits. Does that sound okay?

Sassy pondered over the kits' names.

OOC: sorry, didn't know

OOC: It's okay Should we have the rest die of air loss or something?

Sassy felt that something wasn't right. She couldn't put her paw on it, but something was annoying her.

OOC: Okay
Darkstorm sensed something was wrong also. "Sassy...I feel like something is wrong..."

She nodded. "I know. Me too... It feels like..." Suddenly she bent down and felt her kits' pulses. All but one was dead...
